How clan designations work
One archived example follows the Santiago branch, with the designation S7 indicating the seventh generation from Carlos Agustin Maniquiz.
ClanDesignation CLAN DESIGNATION Are you wandering what kind of clan designation you should have? For example myself. My name is Michael Villacorta Maniquis (S7). I used S7 because I am a 7th generation from Carlos Agustin Maniquiz through Santiago Clan The designation goes like this: Name Generation Who Is Carlos 1st Santiago 2nd Juan 3rd Pablo 4th Joaquin 5th My grandfather Juanito 6th My father Michael 7th This is me Matthew 8th My son ???? 9th This will be my future grandkids It would be easy to find out which clan designation you should use if you know at least your great grandparents name. The book goes only as far as 6th or 7th generation. Alejandro Dionisio Miguel Santiago
